The body’s response to real or perceived threats is known as stress. Most of our problems today are outside the scope of a fight or flight response. We need to work through our issues and come up with creative solutions.
The term “stress” refers to people’s reactions to the conditions they find themselves in. These reactions differ from one person to the next. Some stress is to be expected, and it can even be beneficial in our lives. Indeed, it is frequently what gives us the energy and motivation to face our daily obstacles at home and work.
This type of stress response is what allows you to “rise” to the occasion and achieve your objectives, such as meeting deadlines, meeting sales or production targets, or discovering new clients. Some individuals might not consider this a source of stress because we feel fulfilled and glad after completing the challenge.
When people believe the demands of a situation are higher than their ability to deal with them, they experience negative stress. They may be unable to be productive as a result of their stress. People may avoid dealing with a problem altogether, which can exacerbate the situation and cause stress for themselves and others.
Some people may find it difficult to concentrate, make judgments, or feel confident when they are under a lot of stress. Sweating, a beating heart, and tense muscles are common bodily symptoms for many people.
Stress can have a long-term effect on one’s physical well-being. Stress manifests itself in the form of headaches and exhaustion. People are also more prone to become ill or have their health deteriorate.
