Health doesn’t only mean taking care of your physical health, it also means taking care of your mental health. Here in HoliFit we advocate for holistic well being through various activities to ensure maximum wellness for you.
In 2019, a Global Impact Study found that 43% of employees found that not enough is being done to raise mental health awareness in the workplace. Furthermore, more than a third of the employees said they would be more productive if there was better mental support.
Mental health awareness is an important social movement to both improve understanding and increase access to healthcare. Reducing the stigma around mental state is an important step to embracing mental fitness. Having this is crucial to promoting mental state treatment and behavior. By widening our understanding of this, issues and wellness, we can implement a proactive approach to emotional health, well-being, and cognitive agility.
Here are some easy ways you can sprinkle self care into your life!
1. Get regular exercise
Walking for 30 minutes a day can help you feel better and enhance your health. Don’t be disappointed if you can’t accomplish 30 minutes at once because small amounts of exercise add up.
2. Eat healthy, regular meals, and stay hydrated.
A balanced diet and plenty of water can help you feel more energized and focused throughout the day. Limit your intake of caffeinated beverages such as soft drinks and coffee.
3. Make sleep a priority
Practice correct sleeping habits and listen to your body’s needs so that you can make sure you get enough sleep. Before bedtime, limit yourself from devices and screens that can make it difficult to fall asleep.
4. Try a relaxing activity
Look into relaxation or wellness programs or applications that include things like meditation, muscular relaxation, and breathing exercises. Make time for these and other activities you enjoy, such as writing, regularly.
5. Set goals and priorities
Determine what must be done right away and what can wait. If you feel like you’re taking on too much, learn to say “no” to new tasks. At the end of the day, try to be mindful of what you have accomplished rather than what you have been unable to do.
6. Practice gratitude
Remind yourself daily of the things you are grateful for. Make your points clear. At night, write them down or play them back in your head.
7. Focus on positivity
Recognize and challenge your negative and counterproductive thoughts.
8. Stay connected
Make contact with friends or family members who can offer emotional and practical support.
